So I have mentioned before that our Jem is a bit of a late bloomer. She got her first (two) teeth at 10 months, she is still wearing some of her 3-6 months clothes (that Ava grew out of by 3 months), and she just recently learned the joys of the cracker. However, when she finally decides to do something, she does it right the very first time. When she decided to crawl, she got up on her hands and knees and went for it, no messing around. When she decided to (finally!) feed herself, she picked up a Cheerio and popped it in her mouth the first try--no need to practice with the pincer grasp, she just did it immediately and has not dropped a piece of food since. She is definitely a do it herself in her own time kind of girl!
