Happy 4th of July!

The 4th of July has always been my second favorite holiday (Christmas of course is first). I love everything about it--the food, the weather, the flags, the patriotism, the good company, the fireworks, everything!
So much fun to be had!

Ava helped put the flags and sprinkles on the cupcakes.

Cousin love.

We do a special fireworks show for the kids every year and here Jemma is seriously enjoying the pretty fountains...until they started making noise and we had to pop her into bed instead.

Watching the big fireworks!

We were a little unsure about taking Jemma to the big fireworks show this year as she doesn't really like loud noises or bright lights but who are we to mess with tradition? So we got her out of bed, loaded her up and she was perfection! She did not make a peep the whole trip over, she sat in her stroller and watched the whole show, and then cooed all the way home. It was a lovely 4th of July miracle! While we were waiting for the show to start, Jack said his tummy hurt and I said it was probably because he ate too much and he said, "I only ate chips and cupcakes and it still hurts!" Ahh, the joys of the 4th!
