Working hard

After weeks of being on the road, Ed's back to being fairly local (although he still heads out to places 2 or 3 hours away just for a lunch meeting or a quick presentation--that's how he gets 5000 miles a month in the summer!). And he was even in his home office a bit last week which the kids love. Ava goes out there when the other two are napping and she's the perfect office mate--she never talks when he's busy, just gives him the sweetest smile every once in awhile.

That's what I wonder! :) He actually works for a wheat breeding company and is the business manager for the PacNW region (Idaho, WA, OR, and Montana). His busy season is the season right before the farmers get busy when he's at field days giving talks and schmoozing people. So now that harvest has started around the NW, he starts slowing down. You never know what he's up to--like Friday he was giving a talk in Kellogg in the morning then off to somewhere in WA in the afternoon and today he's in Walla Walla helping with a hand harvest of wheat till it gets too dark to see. Sometimes he gives talks to huge groups and then sometimes he's just hanging out with a farmer in a field somewhere.
