This may be news to you

but I am awesome. That's right I said it. I made these:

with my own two hands. And I have never sewn anything. Anything. And I don't mean how people say "oh I can't sew! I mean one time in high school I made my prom dress but I don't really sew..." I mean I had to get out the manual to thread the needle and the bobbin (whatever that is...) And it took me a few minutes to find the on switch on the sewing machine. But thanks to my (patient) friend Sarah, my girls now have matching skirts. Made by me. So today I'm thankful for Sarah for sharing a bit of crafty goodness with me.

Today

I'm thankful for childrens' Motrin. Jemma has croup. again. But we love us some Motrin (and steam and Vicks and inhalers) and she's feeling better (for now). And I'm also a wee bit thankful for croup...nothing like cuddling my big baby all day.

I'm feeling ripped off.

I'm not an Oprah fan. At all. But I got an email with an offer for a $5 subscription for O magazine (you know, the one with only Oprah on the cover. every month.) And I love to get magazines in the mail so I signed up, thinking it was safe to assume that at less than 50 cents an issue, it would have to be worth it. I was wrong. And if you think it's obnoxious to see her on the cover every month, guess what? It's worse to see three of her.

The little note there at the bottom says, "Turn the page for a surprise!" A surprise! Yay!

Happy Monday

How have I not posted this?

That's right...Henry's walking! I took this a couple weeks ago and keep forgetting to post it! Now he can actually smile and walk so I should update this but it's pretty funny because he uses walking as a last resort. He'd rather cruise or scoot or crawl but if he absolutely has to, he'll take off on his fat little feet.

Today

I'm thankful for her. Because she is so darn awesome. And smart and funny and thoughtful. And when I think about her I want to be so much better.

Today

I'm thankful for a day off. ahh. And a free coffee at one of my favorite shops, a good burger at my favorite restaurant, and the first few goodies in my Christmas stash. And for my sister to shop with, my husband to leave a pile of chores and houseful of kids with, and my mama who made me a dinner to come home to. Thankfull.

Today

I'm thankful that the man of the house is flying across the country, coming home where he belongs.

It's November. Every year I plan to do a thankful post each day in November. And every year I start sometime around the 15th. Watch out people, I'm growing up!

Today (November 1st...woohoo) I'm thankful for corn chowder and grilled cheese sandwiches..nothing says November like a cozy dinner with my people.
