I ran the CDA half marathon and afterwards we stopped by to see my grandpa who was packing up for a trip to DC on the Honor Flight. We had him try on his army coat for the girls. In his pocket was his little journal from the war. So fascinating for the girls! I love this picture...everything looks exactly the same as it did when I was growing up....same fridge, same cookie jar, same grandpa!
